HAWE Cultivation Systems Shares Expertise at 2025 Taiwan–Netherlands Bilateral Conference

Strengthening international collaboration in sustainable greenhouse horticulture

HAWE Cultivation Systems was honored to participate as a guest speaker at the 2025 Taiwan–Netherlands Bilateral Conference on Greenhouse Horticulture and Phenotyping Applications. This unique event brought together public institutions, academic researchers, and private companies from both Taiwan and the Netherlands, united by a shared mission to accelerate sustainable innovation in greenhouse horticulture.

During the conference, HAWE presented insights into the benefits of crop-oriented mobile cultivation systems. These solutions enable flexible, efficient, and future-proof production — contributing meaningfully to global challenges such as food security and sustainable resource use.

International cooperation as a driver of innovation
The event was organized by the Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute (TARI), which proudly celebrates 130 years of agricultural innovation. With support from the Netherlands Office Taipei and Agricultural Director Mr. Rick Nobel, the strength of the bilateral partnership between Taiwan and the Netherlands was clearly demonstrated.

Wageningen University & Research also contributed to the conference, with experts such as Silke Hemming and Dan Rustia further bridging the gap between academic knowledge and practical application.

A glimpse into the future
In addition to the conference sessions, several site visits were organized. A personal highlight for HAWE was the visit to our own lettuce project currently under construction in Taiwan. It was exciting to see this development taking shape and to be part of such a forward-looking initiative in one of Asia’s most innovative horticultural markets.
