We would like to introduce our employees to you.
Who are you? Where do you live?
My name is Nick Weber, 35 years old and I'm from Schiedam where I still live.
How did you end up at HAWE?
During the period of financial challenges at my former employer, I was approached by several parties and had several conversations. My former chief financial officer advised me to wait a while for decision-making, indicating that KUBO had expressed interest in a possible acquisition. At that time, I did not know much about KUBO, except that they had an excellent reputation in the industry. Curious about the company, its vision and the people behind it, I entered into the conversation and soon came to an agreement. KUBO's strong winner's mentality really appealed to me, which is exactly what I love!
What position do you hold at HAWE? What are you responsible for?
I work at HAWE as a Supply Chain Manager. I am responsible for a continuous flow of goods from raw material to finished product and all aspects involved.
What appealed to you about coming to work for HAWE?
I was the first employee to sign with HAWE and I did not yet know who my immediate colleagues were going to be. However, I had full confidence in the management, who strongly convinced me with their vision and approach for the future for HAWE. There is a strong winner's mentality which appeals to me a lot.
What did you do before joining HAWE?
I started as Inside Sales at a wholesaler, from a regional branch of my aunt. After this, I went into logistics as a Logistics Coordinator. Logistics is unpredictable, fast and requires accuracy and solution-orientation at the same time. This suits me very well! Eventually, I was looking for more challenge and wanted to develop myself further and these options have slowly resulted in where I am now, working at HAWE.
What energises you?
The development of HAWE and how the team works together. Huge strides have been made within a year. This results in me being able to establish steadfast relationships with our partners (suppliers) and good trust towards HAWE.
What is your favourite (work) quote?
Well done is better than well said.
